Keith,

I would be concerned with using ground plane material that would not interact
with its intended
environment. If there is interaction, then site attenuation requirements would
likely become an
issue, certainly over time, or it might be an issue to begin with. Will there
be a well defined
ground plane boundary since the actual ground plane would not be seen? Also,
have you considered how
power and I/O cabling will be routed?

These are only a few points that I quickly came up with. I'm sure there may be
others. IHTH.

Best regards,

Ron Pickard

Has anyone attempted to imbed an OATS ground screen in asphalt? A new
parking lot is going in near our lab and I have a chance to install an
OATS. The stack-up will be gravel with 3" base asphalt and a 1" asphalt
cap. I have plenty of copper screen and was considering putting it between
the asphalt layers. Another alternative would be to use galvanized
hardware cloth. Any advise?
Keith
