Amund,

The RoHS directive does not apply to equipment designed to be installed into
equipment that is not within the scope of the directive. As such, most forms
of transport, including shipping, is outside the scope and hence equipment
designed to installed in ships is also outside the scope.

regards,
Dave C.

Subject: [Maybe spam] RoHS - marine equipment

1) Does RoHS apply for electronics installed on EU flagg ships? I assume that.
2) Does RoHS apply for electronics installed on a non-EU flagg ships, which
are build in EU and the classification society (i.e. Lloyd's Register) is also
located within EU? I do not know ....

Anybody who have been into such cases?

Regards
