Dear Group,
I received this question from a co-worker today.

He states, "I'm looking to buy some ISO or ANSI/ISO specifications, and
I need a little guidance. I'm hoping you can help, or point me to
someone else who might.

Specifically, I'm interested in a set of ISO 191xx series standards.
As I was shopping the ANSI site, I noticed there seem to be two versions
of some documents - an ISO version and an ANSI/ISO version. For example,
ANSI/ISO 19101-2002, and ISO 19101-2002. One costs $30, and the other
$120.

I queried the ANSI people, and all they could tell me was one is and
"international adoption", and one is a "domestic adoption". When I
asked for clarification of what that meant, they didn't answer.

Since the ANSI docs are so much cheaper, I'd prefer to buy them, but
am I losing something by doing so?"

I thought this esteemed group might be able to help.

Thanks in advance!
