Dear members, IEC 61000-3-2 is the applicable standard. My question is how do you know if this standard needs to be applied to a particular product? Yes, the standard states that it applies to any piece of equipment that draws <= 16 Amps of mains power. This leads me to believe that without reading every standard published, you don't know which ones to apply. It seems that there is a larger view of the picture that is missing. Does anyone have a link to this picture?
Do you know which EU regulation requires that power supplies over 50W need to be power factor corrected?
