Thanks for all contributions. I think the result of what you are saying is that the analysis should only consider the product and a single individual. If the risk to an individual is substantially low, then the product is safe. Thanks to John for his observation that religious history shows that death is not a certainty. And to a not-to-be-named off-line contributor who informs me that UK Health and Safety do not accept resurrection as a form of mitigation in industrial accidents! Regards to all, Tim
