Dear Colleagues;
Our products are modular digital audio mixers for professional use. The customer can purchase a basic system and at a later stage purchase extra modules to expand the system. The modules are 19” rack cards with a metal front panel and a PCB assembly fixed to it. The modules plug into a backplane for power and signal bussing. We normally use the verification route to FCC compliance and label the basic system accordingly. My question is about the FCC labelling of the modules purchased at a later stage. Am I allowed to use the FCC logo on the label we attach to the module? This label will be self adhesive printed paper. When reading the part 15 of the FCC regulations it stated that the label must not be confused with an FCC ident label. Therefore; does this preclude the use of the FCC logo. Any advice would be appreciated. Regards; Ian McBurney.
