Background
Founded in 1981 by three MIT engineers, APC rose to prominence with a
product called the uninterruptible power supply (UPS). APC leveraged the
explosion of desktop computing and created an entirely new market. From
those early roots to their current offering of desktop and enterprise
systems for power management, cooling, and threat management, APC grew to a
global $2.4 billion public company, and now boasts over $3 billion in
worldwide revenue after the merger of MGE UPS Systems, and acquisition by
Schneider Electric, an $18 Billion leader in power and controls.

 Responsibilities
Provide regulatory engineering review, planning, testing and report
leadership and administration for new product development projects.
Ultimately responsible for the execution of regulatory approval activities
for the group. Work requires expert knowledge of safety and EMC regulatory
standards, engineering skill, and independent judgment.

Essential Functions Include:
Train product development staff on regulatory requirements and test
methods.
Lead all regulatory test and administration work for a range of power and
data center rack products
Gain regulatory certifications on new and newly revised products; including
UL, CSA, FCC, BSMI, VCCI, CCC, and VDE.
Coordinate the testing of new products in outside certified laboratories.
Support laboratory equipment needs and records upkeep.
Support upkeep of Data Acceptance Programs, gain new certifications as
required
Support Follow Up activities in factory locations as required.
Learn new regulatory standards and document relevant interpretations.

Other duties include:
Train technicians on new testing standards and methods.
Provide mentoring & support of overseas regulatory teams

Qualifications
BSEE
Excellent English verbal and written skills.
3+ years experience in regulatory engineering function
1+ years experience directing the work of technical support personnel
Expert command of requirements in Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, and
EN60950.
PC software proficiency (Excel, Word)
