Responsibilities Provide regulatory engineering review, planning, testing and report leadership and administration for new product development projects. Ultimately responsible for the execution of regulatory approval activities for the group. Work requires expert knowledge of safety and EMC regulatory standards, engineering skill, and independent judgment. Essential Functions Include: Train product development staff on regulatory requirements and test methods. Lead and delegate all regulatory test and administration work to the regulatory staff Gain regulatory certifications on new and newly revised products; including UL, CSA, FCC, BCIQ, VCCI, and VDE. Coordinate the testing of new products in outside certified laboratories. Support laboratory equipment needs and records upkeep. Support upkeep of Data Acceptance Programs, gain new certifications as required Support Follow Up activities in factory locations as required. Learn new regulatory standards and document relevant interpretations. Other duties include: Train technicians on new testing standards and methods. Provide mentoring & support of overseas regulatory teams Qualifications BSEE Excellent English verbal and written skills. 3+ years experience in regulatory engineering function 1+ years experience directing the work of technical support personnel Expert command of requirements in Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, and EN60950.
