My experience is that it is a function of frequency. If the door seam met the
requirement at all frequencies except near 10 GHz, then I would feel
comfortable beginning absorber lining installation elsewhere, because I am
looking at a pinhole leak. But if I were failing near the door at 400 MHz, I
wouldn’t install any absorber at all, because that frequency “crawls”
all over the room, and you cannot tell from a single measurement precisely
where the actual leak(s) might be.

Subject: Shielding Test

Dear Members,

Is it OK to start ferrite tile installation before the completion of shielding
test during the construction of a 3m EMC semi-anechoic chamber? More
specifically, if a particular area, such as door seam, does not meet the
proposed specification, is it OK to start ferrite tile installation on the
area away from the door? If yes, how far to keep away from the door?

Thank you very much for your time and look forward to your help.

Best regards,
Grace
