Point to the Title of the standard,  'Headphones and earphones 
associated with ***portable audio equipment***, and the Scope clause of 
the standard quite clearly says 'battery-operated'. Also, look at 
definition 3.1, 'battery-operated small audio equipment used with 
earphone'.
