I have the option of using a 70% TC braid.

Again this would only be used within a well bonded assembly line up.

I had one of those too!  Took a lot of money and time to correctly re-wire the
AC mains to building complex.  Then all worked as expected, and the shields
became pretty bits of tinsel...

I would think this indicated a fault condition, and needed fixing. It's not an
operating condition.

I wonder how the ELCB's cope with that?
