A few days ago I appealed for a compliant computer power supply. Since that time my client accumulated many models ( 15 ) that fitted their needs and we tested them all. The spread is horrific. Over 60 dB and some areas 80 dB under identical loads.
If anyone would like to see the variation of several of them I'll post the emissions chart. I have taken the decision to write to the FCC and complain about these being sold on the streets. EVERY single non-compliant supply was made off shore, only one or two off shore supplies were compliant. I encourage anyone finding such derisory performance to report it to the FCC. When I fully understand the path to do so, I'll update the list so everyone knows how to do so. On a lighter note, I'd like to wish everyone a happy holidays.
