Dan,
You can read the rules on the ACMA web site http://www.acma.gov.au <http://www.acma.gov.au/> . C-tick is for EMC and radio communications compliance. A-Tick is for telecommunications, of which I have no experience. For c-tick, the manufacturer, importer or their agent responsible for compliance and for placing it on the Australian market is required to sign and hold the c-tick DoC. The signer needs an Australian address. Jim __________________________ James L. We sell both C-tick and A-tick marked equipment and we have a presence in Australia that we use for the Australian business number and for the DoC. We are not the sole importer, in fact we are rarely the actual importer, many of our customers ship our product into Australia on their own. Is an agency agreement needed for either A-tick or C-tick if the product is already labeled and fully in compliance as we provide it? The DoC must have the supplier’s ACMA supplier code number on it, or an Australian business number. Jim __________________________ James L. Is UL/ TUV product safety required? Our vendor has only provided us with a C-Tick EMC certificate and test report.
