Given that is is a magnetic field immunity test, I would guess that any ferrous 
metal that would affect/distort the magnetic field would not be desired. I 
would be willing to bet that the standards people had that in mind, and meant 
that any magnetic metal should not be used.
 
Also note that the GRP for a table-top test is not longer required. I asked the 
question a while back about why the GRP was specified in the first place, and 
why it was taken out in the latest release of the standard, and never did get 
an informed answer. I may have gotten a rather colorful tongue-in-cheek 
response from Mr. Woodgate, however. :-)
