And then there was the early US mid-west broadcaster who continually upped
the power of his transmitter to get broader coverage (which allowed for
higher fees for adverts to this greater audience) who was chagrinned to be
hassled by the local chicken farmers who could no longer turn off the lights
in the chicken coops at nite.    

or the Navy lo-freq transmitter site who had to spread out over the rural
neighborhood and ground/earth all the fences to get rid of nasty electric
shocks and straighten out their signal pattern.
