In principle it's doable, in practice the other devs and I won't be working on that side of the project until after the 1.0 release. I'll answer questions about the driver (once I've crawled over it more carefully), and provide a loaner extruder head and pcb, but getting emc to run it isn't our priority right now. After we get the 1.0 release out the door, I'm much happier thinking about it. My personal feature request/daydream for emc is to be able to generate g-code from .stl and .dxf files. I think I've got 2 days left before my Meshcam demo expires.
