Hello I have used a ITX (smaller than ATX) board with a VIA 800 MHz. I can say that with the VIA CPU the system with Ubuntu and EMC2 was at its limit. After I replaced the VIA CPU with a PIII 733 I purchased on ebay (inexpensive...5 euro or something like that) and now the system with EMC2 run much much faster. Now I think I will replace the PIII 733 with a PIII 1000 when I will find one at very low price...
