When running the example stepper-inch.ini I always get a window that randomly
pops up interupting the program:

Unexpected realtime delay:check dmesg for details

So in looking at that I see the following:

It seems that it always occurs after loading the parallel port drivers.
Anyone have any ideas on how to cure this one?
