Hi. I am preparing for 3 annual CNC show.
I build 1 axis CNC machine with AC servomotor (1 motor mount on "Micro Mill from Harbor Freight"). This became my study machine where I can learn AC servomotors tune-up, homing machine, and any adjustments that need to be done. As I mentioned before my machine has servomotor and amplifiers made by Servo Dynamics and all motion card by MESA 5i20, 7i33 and 7i37. I left only 1 servomotor on machine because as smaller machine as easy it can be move around. I will send that machine to Cardinal Engineering by UPS where I hope to get ultimate help with fine tune-up of motor, adding manual pulse generator + 4 switches http://www.anderswallin.net/2006/11/jogging-emc2/ <https://owa.kyosys.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.anderswallin.net/2006/11/jogging-emc2/> , load new driver for 5i20 http://cvs.linuxcnc.org/cvs/emc2/src/hal/drivers/m5i20/ <https://owa.kyosys.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://cvs.linuxcnc.org/cvs/emc2/src/hal/drivers/m5i20/> , and etc. I think that that my "study machine" can be good for exercise. I want to be make sure that this manual pulse generator is good >http://littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=2938 ><https://owa.kyosys.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=2938> > . I have questions about 6 position rotary switch and 4 position rotary switch. Are they all one-pole type of switches or they need to be multi poles? About 4 Pushbuttons switches, are they all momentary type switches (normally open)? How many this electronics devises " I first decode the differential signals to single-ended ones using a DS3486 <http://www.national.com/pf/DS/DS3486.html> ." do I need? How many this type do I need "6-pos switch is encoded with an SN74HC148 <http://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pdf/27887/TI/SN74HC148.html> into a 3-bit value." do I need? Thank you, Aram K.
