We *could* have a bit to set in the INI file to kill this feature if the
owner so desires.

All it would take is an implementor with the proper skills who desired to do
that.

As long as the default was to "do the right (according to specification)
thing" I certainly wouldn't object to it.

I, too, am running BDI and using TkEMC. The next time I'm ready to
reinstall, I'll switch to Axis, but I can understand your frustration. I'm
anticipating that the switch might be painful, so I'll probably install the
new system on a second machine so that I can still get work done as needed
while I'm playing with the new system.

It is unfortunate that I'll have to do that, but it is a common problem. I
have the same issue with upgrading/changing my phone system from
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to Trixbox. I'll need a spare machine for that, too.

Subject: [Emc-users] Reset of offsets after running program

Okay, I am making a request/plea.

Refresher, I loaded up EMC2 after running BDI for about 3 or 4 years
and I use TkEMC (because I like it!!!). After running my first program
EMC2 reset my offsets to what the machine started at. So I asked the
group why is it that BDI didn't do this and how come I can't use the
right click on the axis to set the offset. The jist of the answer I got
was "because thats not proper edict".

Why can't we have a bit to set in the INI file to kills this feature if
the owner so desires?

Andy
