Has anyone thought about using EMC for gear hobbing? I suppose a secondary spindle mounted to a rotary table on a mill or lathe would work. I am guessing that the only critical issue, is that the workpiece spindle and the cutter spindle stay in synchronous. Or is there a better way to make gears these days?
