Gentlemen,
    Another request. I would like to see the cutter diameter
compensation have a switch to enable/disable the current application
of cutter diameter compensation. This would allow the use of cutter
diameter compensation during short linear movement generatiing a
circular move. The resulting radius would be the correct radius, it
would not be the radius of the tool used to cut the profile.
    If EMC was allowed to disable the current cutter compensation
action Al would not have to try to find a software solution to output
arcs for the profile he is trying to cut.
    If this enable/disable was written as a G code that would make it
MUCH more flexible for the users/programmers. My personal preference
would be to default to no corner rounding. Then, as an example, G41.3
could enable corner rounding if that feature was desired for a
particular cut.
    I always vote for the machine doing nothing other than what it is
specifically told to do with the program and any switches or buttons.
