Well, now that you mention it, that makes perfect sense. I have been fighting the thought in the back of my mind, that I would need to better address my tuning. I was half hoping it would go away. I have not quantized the variation, but my guess is that the amount of deviation is within my following error setting.
--- hnc-3a.ini --- ... snip FERROR = 0.0005 MIN_FERROR = 0.010 ... snip --- My encoder specs are 10,000 pulses/revolution, .2 inches/revolution = .00002 inches/pulse, which would lead me to believe I should be able to reduce the ferror. Early on I was getting allot of ferrors so I just entered a value large enough to make them go away. I am hoping to eventually be able to reliably work in the .0001 or .0002 accuracy range, so my encoders should not be a problem. Well, I guess it's back to the manuals.
