Gentlemen,
Has anyone been working on automatically identifying the
components of a machine? I was thinking (dangerous I know) it would be
very good to be able to hook up a rotary table (or any other
component) and have the control identify it is connected, what it is
and choose the hal files to configure it for use. This would happen
without operator input.
This would be different than auto configuration. The components
and hal files would have been previously configured. The control would
just choose which file(s) to use depending on what components were
connected.
