You seem to be the only one who is unable to connect to the server for anonymous read-only access. Of course no key is required for that. You haven't posted your traceroute results, so there is little we can do to help solve whatever internet problem exists between you and the server. A public key is required to have non-anonymous write access. I'm sure you are well aware of the difference - you certainly understood these kind of things back when we were friends and worked together on EMC.
