I noticed this mail while goggling but I thought I would reply even
though it's outdated.
1. Realtime errors are caused by your computer not being able to run the
base task thread as fast as the sample is configured, this can be fixed
by changing:
BASE_PERIOD = 35000 (something like 50.000 should be safe
for your machine.
2. Once you have reduced the BASE_PERIOD you need to reduce the maximum
velocity or change the step/distance ratio (INPUT_SCALE):
INPUT_SCALE= 150.333 (If you change this to 10 this gives a
maximum resolution of 0.1mm, fine for testing)
3. Travel Height is the height at which your torch travels, any time
your torch is not cutting but is moving (G0) it defaults to this height
in order to avoid colliding with warped material or other obstacles.
4. There is no need to specify any Z moves, all moves/probing is
automatic. The sample files are mostly for milling machines and as such
have Z moves, I will supply a sample plasma cutting file.
I expect to upload a new sample config next week, in addition to other
fixes I will reduce the default timings so that the sim works out of the
box on all machines and that there is an appropriate sample.
