I'm not sure where my previous replies went, but they seem to have 
evaporated.

I do have a loop back signal from iocontrol.0.tool-preprare to 
iocontrol.0.tool-prepared and it appears to function correctly when a 
Txx gcode is presented.

I have also checked to ensure that the the switch on the panel is 
actually linked to the iocontrol.0.tool-changed pin correctly.  Halmeter 
shows it change to true when I press the switch.
