I hope QCad works after having been through a winderz download session... See the dos2unix comments in another message. Why, pray tell, do you not just put the kubuntu box on line? Things are SO much easier when it has a network connection, and its hundreds of times safer to connect to the net than your winderz box is. Adept or Synaptic is generally pre-configured and the first thing you will want to do is let it update itself with all the new versions of whats installed and any security updates there may be. Which could take some time just for that, but you'll be a security tight and bug free as anyone else then. Hello Gene A just because I live in Africa doesn't mean I'm covered in bugs, we have soap and running water here, what's wrong with you. Just because you were named after a cowboy doesn't mean you are one.(I'm joking and pulling your leg) SOoooo I should put it on line, what a golly good idea, are you going to tell how to do it please. Best wishes from Africa.
