Hmm, I'm trying to remember on Ubuntu, My main computer is fedora, so... Do you have a applet on your panel, by the clock, that looks like two computers stacked one behind another, maybe with a small red x (or not)? If so, just left click on it with the modem plugged in, and select the modem item in the list. It should be marked with 3G, GSM, ttyUSB0, etc... If you still can't figure it out, check and see if you have wvdial installed. If so type: wvdialconf and let me know the output. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
