Great, that's some useful debugging information.  Specifically look at 
the error message you got:

This probably means that you're running an older version of emc2, 2.2.6 
perhaps?  The hostmot2 driver is still under development, and Ted's 
configuration uses features that were added in version 2.2.7.

You have two options:

1.  (preferable) Upgrade to emc2 2.2.7

2.  (less preferable) keep using 2.2.6, and comment out the line that 
attempts to set pwm_frequency
