The original (coming from NIST) code is available in the emc branch at cvs.linuxcnc.org However, there have been numerous additions to the code since the initial import (which was PD), so anything afterwards would need carefull looking at (probably concent from the authors) if it's still PD. The safest bet would be to checkout the earliest code. Also notice there are some things in there that are clearly not PD: like classicladder, emcplot3d, etc
