No, for normal homing you dont use GPIO bits at all

I think the confusion comes because I ( and possible Sebastian) mistakenly 
assumed from the questions that you asked, that you wanted to do something 
fancier than normal EMC supported homing.

Heres what I said in my last email:

This is the same thing that C Radek suggested (the <=> is just for
