Sebastian

I have been reading the MANUAL. Seams on the day I download and printed the
manuals from this page http://www.linuxcnc.org/content/view/5/5/lang,en/ the
Users and Integrators manual it link me to the Dec. 4 version of v2.3 on the
integrators manual and v2.2 on the user manual. I did not catch the manual were
different version till this morning. I just blew it off as the price you pay
for free software poor docs.I don't redownload the manuals ever time I need to
look at them I have a slow connection.

You and Peter say this is wrong

>  net Xindex-enable hm2_5i23.0.encoder.00.index-enable axis.0.index-enable

and that I should use

>net Xindex-enable axis.0.index??????? <=>hm2_5i23.0.gpio.P2.005.in

but you can not tell me what axis.0.index??????? should be or why it errors out

Now Chris Radek said

>This is the correct setup for using the index pulse on encoder 0 to
>home axis 0 (X). Well you need a "net" in front but I'm sure you
>have that.

>If you also have a home switch, it will be a gpio.NNN.in or in_not
>and you hook this to axis.0.home-sw-in.

>That's the entire setup you need for switch+index homing.
