Thank you Franck! I used halrun or halui to test my Joypad early in my attemtps, all was OK from that point of view.
Halrun commands showed pins in command line interface, halui showed values obtainable on sticks and buttons. All gave satisfaying results. Of course I took care of the chmod 660 and rules.d, as I noticed the result of lsusb. I'm really familiar with regular Linux systems. The Joypad is detected, kernel module instance loaded, entry created in /dev/input with correct rights, and commands tested with hal* . Everything was neat and clear until I tried the proposed .hal file to integrate the Joypad in "axis". Nothing appends, or tombstone sometimes. Since I'm not familiar at all with HAL pipes, I thought that the given joypad.hal file was directly usable, having changed the name of the device which is not a "SAITEK" but a "Jess Technology [...] " I wasn't the case. I'll try again, It will work one day :-) Regards, Chris. Le lundi 6 juillet 2009 23:35:42, Frank Tkalcevic a écrit : > As other people have mentioned, you haven't told us what part is not > working.
