No, nothing out of the ordinary, and with both upper and lower menus hidden, the StepConf window height is still too tall. It is possible my screen resolution is not what I think it is.
Obviously Axis knows the screen resolution, because the Axis window fits perfectly. But Axis is using OpenGL, which probably has tools to fit windows nicely to the available real estate. With the advice I just got up thread about how to move screens off the top of Gnome with ALT-left click, I was able to run StepConf from the latest release. If the options to create links on the users desktop are enabled (probably on the second window StepConf brings up), and they are by default, then StepConf kaks with an error message on its final screen, where it is saving the file. The error message says no machine name was provided. If I deselect the options to create links, then the save of the stepconf file proceeds without a hitch, and a working file is built. I was able to use the output to run my router. > Date: Sat, 11 Jul 2009 15:59:34 -0600 > From: "John Thornton" <bjt...@gmail.com> > Subject: Re: [Emc-users] StepConf height gain > I just changed my monitor to 1024 x 768 (yuk) but there is plenty of > room > for the Stepconif Wizard.
