Chris, WWEEELLLL - Yes the var file is writable. It helps a LOT when the ini file specifies the CORRECT var file. The ini file had a full path to the var file. Too bad the path was to a different directory. That directory is not writable from the machine account. ugh I removed the path. It is working now. :) thanks Stuart
