Good day ladies and gents,
I am new to the list, to EMC, and to machining. Trying to learn before
asking. So far, not bad - a converted Proxxon MF70 with the usovo kit
more or less working (just needing more hours with it).
Regarding Jeshua's question:

I am running off an old Compaq Armada E500 and it seems to be doing
well enough. Your results may vary a lot depending on the internals of
the laptop you pick; this one has, it seems, a very classical design
(i440BX chipset, if I recall correctly) and it works pretty well (but I
don't have many hours on EMC on it so take it with a bit of caution).
