Oh, my!!!  That is out of the antique museum.  I haven't run EMC2 on 
anything
less than a 600 MHz Pentium III is some time.  If you don't use Axis, 
you can go
a bit lower, but the Axis 3-D preview screen eats up a lot of resources.

I use off-lease Dell Optiplex desktop systems (that is their 
commercial-grade
line, not the home-grade line).  600 MHz is now pretty much the bare minimum
CPU speed, and I'd recommend 1 GHz for better performance.

You need 256 MB minimum to install from CD, it will run with a bit less 
after
the install, if you really need to mess with it.  Easier to just leave 
the 256 MB
in there all the time.

I don't run software-generated step systems, so these requirements may be
much too low for those systems.  Servos take less system resources, as they
generally only need real time response on the 1 ms level, not in the us
level.
