FYI, check out Misumi's extrusions. They seem to be significantly cheaper
than 80/20. I've never used 80/20, but Misumi's stuff is outstanding.

offer a variety of extrusions in 20, 25, 30, 40 and 45mm squares, plus
multiples (such as 20x40) of those sizes. For reference, their 20mm
extrusions are only $4.70/meter. 20mm isn't strong enough for most parts of
a cnc machine, but is plenty strong for may applications (seriously, it will
support 300lbs in the middle of a 1 meter length supported at the ends with
only a little deflection). Their 25mm is 7.90/meter compared with 1" 80/20
for ~$10.36/meter.

The various nuts and fittings that are used for assembly have an even bigger
price disparity. For economy pre-assembly nuts, $.14 each from Misumi (in a
package of 100, all other prices are qty 1), $.29 from 80/20. $.45 for a
post-assembly nut from Misumi, $2.25 for one from 80/20 (Pre-assembly slide
in from the ends and often cannot be added or removed once the item is
assembled. Post assembly slip into the slot directly, so can be added and
removed at any time).

Like 80/20, they cut to length and send you only what you need, accurate to
within .5mm.

The only minor issue I have with Misumi is that their website is pretty
difficult to use. It is definitely worth getting their printed catalog.
