Gentlefolk, I have slowly constructed my little cnc router/mill.
Hardware for X, Y ans Z axis all done Electronics and cabling on the way (Z axis OK, Y & Z drivers built (need testing and setup), limit swiches to be done. All the testing of the Z axis has been done with the EMC stepper wizard. To proceed with testing I switched to Axis. Created a small test file which simply turned the tool motor on and off. No success! Used standard default settings. When I attempt to turn on the machine using F2 (I presume this is necessary) I get three nasty messages which I presume are for the 3 sets of limit switches (which I have defined on pins 10-12 of the printer port). The message is "Joint 0 on limits switch error", and the same for 1 and 2. I cannot find anything in the doco or web searches on this. I have constructed a test setup for the printer port through which I can tie the limit switch pins high and low, no change. Can anyone point me in the correct direction please????
