So, no drill press since I have a vertical mill, and only one lathe. I do have a minimill in addition to the Bridgeport, but that is for taking to shows, mostly. But, this lathe is such a NICE lathe, that I do have misgivings about bastardizing it, even if that bastardizing is entirely reversible. Now that I have a truly FINE lathe, it would be REAL hard to go back to a lighter machine. I have MANY un-fond memories of trying to do things on an Atlas/Craftsman lathe and having all sorts of chatter problems, and am so glad that is a thing of the past.
