That is what I did. Although the icon did not show up on the desktop. I 
had to go to the 'download' folder, right clicked it there, marked 
'allow execution of file'. It did ask for my password (which I did), and 
it asked if I wanted to continue (and I entered"Y" "Enter"). It 
continued the installation, and when it said 'done' I closed the 
Terminal window, closed the folder window, and rebooted.
