In over a quarter of a century developing software for a living, I've used little else. (Other than the addition of "exuberant ctags" to make vim more IDE-like, CVS for version control, and various gcc cross-compiler builds, allowing the same toolchain to be used across a whole variety of target CPUs.) You may well have arrived. ;-) Erik P.S. Becoming older and more forgetful, I've just scripted my vim cursor to be green in Insert mode, and red in Normal. That's more convenient than glancing down to check what "showmode" is indicating, I find. Exit from Insert mode on up/down cursor moves seems to suit too. -- Unix is the IDE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Colocation vs. Managed Hosting A question and answer guide to determining the best fit for your organization - today and in the future. http://p.sf.net/sfu/internap-sfd2d _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
