And not to confuse things, my understanding is; detent is the click you feel between steps indent is a 1/2in cavity for the tip of the finger knurl is the serrations at the edge of the wheel and knobs is the little nob mounted on the wheel that you grip with two fingers.
My query, fundamentally, is the option between the knob, or the indent.
