And I cut metal (alu) with a woodworking bandsaw. I stumbled over a 40 pound bar of fairly soft & gummy alu, about 6"x6"x28" in one solid piece at a metals recycler, 7 or 8 years ago, and when I want a piece of it for something, it gets sawed with a std wood cutting blade, on a 12" craftsman tilt head 2 speed band saw running in slow mode. I broke a blade trying to turn a corner 3 or 4 years ago, but that has been the only casualty. But I have about used that bar of alu up, so one of these days I'll have to find another. > A little rougher edges and certainly slower, but no missiles thrown > around the shop! > Certainly glad you had the protective eyewear, which kept this from > being a LOT worse! > > Jon > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > ------ Simplify data backup and recovery for your virtual environment > with vRanger.
