To a large extent, yes. They basically have three wires for the three phases.
The variability is in the feedback device, and there is a lot of
variability. I wrote a HAL component to deal with most of that.
Motors with Resolvers are a bit awkward, but both Pico and Mesa make
convertors, or there is a way to do it with an Arduino (but not as
well)
