Just in case you haven't looked at these: http://linuxcnc.org/docs/html/common_machining_center.html#sub:Parameters http://dynomotion.com/Help/GCodeScreen/EMC_Handbook/node100.html (Old and may not apply) http://linuxcnc.org/docs/html/gcode_coordinates.html Basically the emc.var file holds parameter values. When EMC2 starts, it looks for the file and loads the values, then overwrites the file when EMC2 exits. One needs to consider how the file may be written to or lost. If needed, a copy of the file with the desired parameters can be made, then copied back to emc.var just before one loads EMC2. File names other than emc.var could be used by changing the name in the configuration's .ini file. I haven't played with emc.var, so there may be other issues. -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/index.html California, USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity and more.
