I have a recently upgraded to a new PC for my EMC installation and I am having difficulty getting EMC to run on the 10.04 Live CD. I know that it is not a hardware issue because I can run a 8.04 Live CD and everything works fine. The 10.04 CD boots and runs fine, however when I run the EMC it crashes with a long string of 'waiting for s.axes' errors. When I launch the latency test the window comes up but the times are all '0' and do not change regardless of computer usage. There appear to be no errors when I check dmesg after running Latency_test. I have tried to boot with isolcpus=0 as I have found in the forums, however it behaves the same. Any ideas? I need to run the 10.04 CD because I would like to have the additional software in that distro.
