OK, _ON_ the Touchy machine, not easy at all, since it is sometimes run 
without a keyboard.
I use Axis on a machine with mouse and keyboard.  I open a terminal 
window, and generate
my G-code there, use an editor to stitch the files together and put it 
in the directory where
LinuxCNC can find it.  I don't think anybody "programs at the machine" 
using Touchy,
they have a laptop or something nearby for programming.
