I used velocity.  Position seems to revs since linuxcnc was started, and 
increments forever, and TBT I've not even looked at position-interpolated.

I turned off the lathe & interface power when I came in last night, so 
before I can check that I'd need to dress and run out and turn them back 
on.  I only have one eye propped open so far this morning, not enough 
coffee yet...

More hal wiring errors?  I don't think I have either of those signals 
hooked to anything at the moment.
